In this article, we are going to talk about the Best Italian players of 2021 and reviewing their stats and achievements.

In every season of football, a lot happens to clubs and individuals. Some teams achieve great success in national or international competitions, some degrade, some get regulated while some others get promoted.

Just like teams, the individuals in the football world progress and regress in every season a well. There have been a lot of managers in this season that disappointed their teams and fans and some others gave hope to them.There have been some players whose talents and skills went downhill and showed no sign of being useful whatsoever. On the other hand, in this season some footballers shined and graced their team and showed great progress.

Leonardo Spinazzola

The first player in the Best Italian players in 2021 list is the Italian Left-back Leonardo Spinazzola.He joined I Giallorossi On 1 July 2019 and since then, he has made 71 appearances with Roma.Before Spinazzola got signed to A.S. Roma, he was at Juventus from 2012. But it's worth mentioning that during his seven years with Juventus he got loaned to other teams several times such as Atalanta, Vicenza, and Perugia.

Although he is a Left-back, in this current season he also played in the left midfield where he scored 2 goals and assisted 8 and it's interesting to know that he plays in the left flank although he is right-footed. In total, Spinazzola made 39 appearances for Roma and played a key role in the team's defense and midfield.

Spinazzola's strengths are his stamina, world-class speedversatility, offensive mind, dribbling skills, and acceleration amongst other things which made him a valuable player, and many compare him to former Italy and Juventus wing-back Gianluca Zambrotta.His market value is now about $28.60m.

Marco Verratti

Next on the list, we have the Paris Saint-Germain's central midfielder, Marco Verratti. He's been playing with PSG since 2012 and since then he appeared in 346 games on The Red and Blues side.Before he joins PSG, he was a part of the Pescara's squad where he played 4 years. It's worth mentioning that Verratti actually started his senior career with Pescara in 2008.

Verratti signed a five-year contract with PSG On 18 July 2012 and made his official debut in a Ligue 1 match with Lille and his first assist came 12 days later. Since then, he has won 22 titles with PSG including six Ligue 1 titles, four Coupe de France titles, five Coupe de la Ligue titles, and seven Trophée des Champions titles.

In October 2020, he suffered from a quadriceps injury while playing for Italy but he made his return at the end of the year in November on a UEFA Champions League match against RB Leipzig.In this current season, Verrati made 31 appearances and assisted six times. He is a reliable midfielder for his confidence on the ball and ability to retain possession under pressure. His hard work, agility, speed, and creativity place him among the Best Italian players of 2021.

Manuel Locatelli

Sassuolo's 23-year-old midfielder, Manuel Locatelli is the third Italian footballer on this list. He joined Sassuolo On 13 August 2018 after his previous club Milan, where he played three years, loaned him on in the summer of 2018 but Locatelli submitted a full transfer request and eventually joined The Black and Greens and made his debut 2018/19 Coppa Italia.Since his debut, Locatelli made about 100 appearances, scored 7 goals, and assisted 11 times. In this current season, he made 34 appearances, scoring 4 times, all of which was in Serie A.

Although Locatelli is positioned as a defensive midfielder and a deep-lying playmaker most of the time, he is a versatile midfielder and can also play in a box-to-box role, or as a wing-leaning offensive-minded central midfielder in a 4–3–3 formation.Locatelli possesses excellent vision, passing, ball control, technique, dribbling skills, accurate shooting ability, and although he isn't exactly fast and quick, he is an elegant and quick-thinking player.

His style is often linked to the likes of Pirlo, due to his ability to create chances or dictate the tempo of his team's play in midfield with his passing range and other great playmakers such as Xavi, Zinedine, and so on.

Federico Chiesa

The 22 years old Italian footballer who has all the makings of a world-class performer.Born on October 25, 1997, in the port city of Genoa, northwest Italy, Federico was  the first child of Enrico Chiesa, the famous Italian striker.

Federico started playing football at the age of two when he learned to walk while growing up in Florenc. He joned Settignano in 2002 and after more than 10 years playing with this team and Fiorentina, he started his senior career in 2016 and nowhe plays for Juventus in Serie A on loan from Fiorentina and for the national team of Italy.

Lorenzo Pellegrini

Lorenzo Pellegrini is the fifth Italian footballer on this list.Born on 19 June 1996 in Roma, Italy, Pellegrini is known as a midfielder in the Serie A league at the Roma Club. He is also recognized as a midfielder in the Italian national team for his work.

Pellegrini started his youth career in 2007 playing with Roma.Then he made his senior career debut in 2014 with the club. He played with the Sassuolo club for a brief stint in 2015, before moving to Roma in 2017. He made his debut with the Italian national team the same year as well.Before joining the national team, Pellegrini appeared in Italy u19, u20 and u21 for 5 years. He has 17 appearances in the Italian national team, scored 2 goals.

Pellegrini is a creative, talented player as well as an influential figure who enjoys moving the ball forward from midfield.Lorenzo Pellegrinihas recently won the UEFA Europa League Squad of the Season: 2020–21.

Nicolo Barella

The next individual on the list of the Best Italian players of 2021 is the current  midfielder of Inter Milan Football club and Italy National team,Nicolo Barella.Barella is known as one of the most talented midfielders of the football world.

Born on 7 February 1997 in Cagliari, Italy, into a football-loving family, Barella showed intereres in football from a very young age. His parents supported their son all the way from the early stages of his footballing career and he impressed every one right from the start of his amateur career. Barella started his senior career in 2015 as he was promoted to Cagliari. During the next 4 years he also played for Como. In the summer of 2019 it was announced that Nicolo Barella has signed a 5 year contract with Inter Milan to play at the Serie A. As of June 2021, Nicolo Barella has 63 appearances with Inter Milan and he scored 4 goals for the club.

Nicolo Barella position is Central midfielder, but he has played as an attacking midfielder as well. He is well known for his finishing ability and killer touch, the young Italian midfield is considered among the best of the world at his position. He is intelligent, fast and dynamic. The next player in the Best Italian players FIFA 21 list is the Italian striker, Andrea Belotti. Born on  20 December 1993 in Calcinate, Italy, Belotti took his first steps as a footballer in the oratory school of Gorlago,and with Grumellese. He began his youth career in 2003 when he was 10 years old and before starting his senior career in 2012 he had played for Grumellese and AlbinoLeffe.

In 2013 he continued his professional debut with Palermo where he scored 16 goals in his 62 appearances.Finally in 2015 he joined Toino where he is playing as a striker again.known as one of the best Italian Strikers of the new generation, Belottiis a quick, strond and prolific striker. Domenico Berardi

Currently playing as a midfielder of Sassuolo Football club and Italy National team, Domenico Berardi is the next individual on our list of the Best Italian players FIFA 21.

Born on 1 August 1994 in Cariati, Italy, Domenico Berardi started his youth career in 2008 with Cosenza and after two years he joined Sassuolo at the age of 16. He continued with the club as his senior career and as of June 2021, Domenico Berardi has appeared in 275 games, scored 97 goals.He was a member of Italy U19, U21 and U23 youth teams and participated in three youth European Championship tournaments. He earned his first call-up to the senior side in 2018 and has scored 4 goals in 10 appearances for the Azzuri.

Ciro Immobile

The next position on the list of Best Italian players in 2021 belongs to one of the Europe's most talented forwards as well as one of the best goal scorers in the football world, Ciro Immobile.Born on 20 February 1990 in Torre Annunziata, Italy, Immobile started playing football at home when he was five years old.First he joined Sorrento then moved to Juventus.Immobile had a very successful youth career at Juventus.

Ciro Immobile started his professional career in 2009 as he was promoted to Juventus senior side. Jorginho

The next position on the list of the Best Italian players of 2021 belongs to Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, known as Jorginho, who is an Italian professional footballer.Jorginho plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea and the Italy national team.Born on 20 December 1991 in Imbituba, Brazil, Jorginho moved to Italy at the age of 15.He was interested in playing football and he showed high talent in this sport.

Jorginho began his youth career with Hellas Verona in 2007 and after 3 years he continued with the club on its senior side where he had 89 appearances and scored 11 goals. He joined Napoli in 2014 and till 2018 he appeared in 133 debut with the club. During his 4 years of appearance in Napoli he stablished himself as a star in the team and proved his name as one of the best Italian soccer players.

In 2018, Jorginho signed for English team Chelsea on a five-year contract. At the time of writing this article, he has had 96 appearances with the team and scored 13 goals.The 23 Italian midfielder is considered among the best of the world at his position .Despite of his short stature, he has high technique, intelligence, ability to break down possession, and vision.

Lorenzo Insigne

Lorenzo Insigne currently plays as a winger for Napoli, one of Italy's most popular Serie A teams. After years of experience in various teams, he started his career in his hometown team in late 2012, and in a short time, he managed to both establish his position and be selected as the team captain.The 29-year-old Italian footballer started his football career at the age of 17 in one of the local teams in his country. Rising through the ranks, he developed the skills he had learned on the streets of southern Italy, and finally he managed to enter the professional world of football four years after his debut in youth teams. He started his professional football career at Napoli in Italy in 2010 and despite playing on loan for almost three years, he is arguably one of the few players whose performance was acceptable, even during his loan contracts.

Lorenzo , blessed with an eye for goals and the ability to play on both wings, is widely known as a hard-working, tactically intelligent, and versatile forward. Besides his main position on the ground, he can also be deployed in any offensive position on either side of the pitch, or even through the center. He can show his real talents by playing behind strikers. Besides all of his remarkable characteristics as a prolific winger, it should be mentioned that his finishing still needs to be worked on, though his ability to overcome the defenders, commit them to a series of feints before breaking them into the center of the ground, is quite impressive.
